Talking with Coral has reignited my creative flames, and so, for the first time ever, I have drawn... a Yoshi! xD But not just any Yoshi, mind you. This one is custom-made! Woot. xD

So what crawled up my ass all of a sudden? For starters, I realized that working 60-70 hours a week isn't my thing. Then I realized that I hardly spend any time doing things for myself. I've been so wrapped up in taking care of my family that I have forgotten how to take care of myself. So, I have promised myself that I would dedicate at least one hour a day to either drawing or writing, since I immensely enjoy either one. I also quit my job with Blockbuster Video, so now I can focus more on being a wife and mother and less on being the breadwinner. Yes, I still have my newspaper job. More than likely I will be working 30-35 hours a week with them. One of the girls there quit, so now my boss is going to teach me her job, which is layout of the paper. I have to take a tutorial home and study it over the weekend. xP

Oh, and I really want to know what people are using these days to create their lovely artwork. I've heard of photoshop, but I haven't the slightest idea of what program would be good for me. I hardly even know what a tablet is. xD If someone could enlighten me, I'd really appreciate it! <3

One last thing. My best friend's mom passed away two weeks ago. She was like a mother to me, and it was hard to see her at her funeral... That wasn't the first time I had attended a funeral (if you recall, the first one I went to was for my other friend's baby daughter, who was stillborn), but it was the first time I went to a funeral for someone I loved and cared about. She met her bitter end due to a combination of overdrinking, depression, and domestic violence. -_- I imagine she's in a better place now, but I wish I could've helped her. I had no idea things were so bad... My friend is now here in town, picking up the pieces of her mother's broken past and trying to get her mom's house ready to sell. I've been over there several times to help her clean, but there's not a whole lot she can do. She's six months pregnant and has a little boy, who will be two on New Year's Eve. Her husband is here to help, at least, lol. I wish I had the words to describle how awful everything is and was at Holly's mom's house (filth, drama). ._.; I feel awful for her, but she has lots of support.
